Who Is Anton Mogart, Gaspard Ulliel’s Character

The first half of the moon knight The TV series is already in the books now that Marvel Studios has released the third installment. Marc Spector’s adventures moved to Egypt, where he competes with Arthur Harrow to find Ammit’s tomb. The titular hero had to put his best skills to work to save his and his wife Layla’s lives from some cruel gangsters. The episode introduced compelling new characters like Anton Mogart to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as offering a closer look at the Khonshu avatar’s superpowers.

Let’s now address some remaining questions left by the episode and give additional information to Mogart.

Who is Anton Mogart?

Episode 3 featured the live-action debut of the villainous Mogart, played by the late Gaspard Ulliel. Mogart is a former acquiescence of Layla, with whom he spent time in Madripoor (a reference to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Serie). In the comics, Mogart is a master thief who targets high-value works of art and strikes only at midnight, earning himself a reputation as the Midnight Man. His abilities include a strong background in martial arts, which led him to clash with Moon Knight on different occasions.

The first live-action encounter between Spector and Mogart ended after the main character chased the villain into smoke. The couple has some unfinished business that they may want to resolve sooner or later. However, Mogart’s future in the MCU is uncertain as French actor Ulliel died last year due to a skiing accident. Perhaps, Marvel Studios could choose to recast the character, but there’s no official news yet.

What are Moon Knight’s powers?

After talks between Spector and Mogart turned sour, Khonshu suggested that Spector call the lawsuit. In the subsequent showdown, Moon Knight once again proved that he could hold his own when it came to fistfights. Wrapped in his crescent-shaped cloak, Spector escaped fire from Mogart’s minions and retaliated with some crescent darts. Fortunately for the bad guys, Mr. Knight took control of Spector’s body and mind soon after.

As seen in the last few episodes, Spector’s second person prefers to use words to defuse the situation. When diplomacy failed to resolve the dispute and the bad guys nearly impaled him, Mr. Knight was forced to hand control back to Moon Knight. Spector heals from any external wounds he receives, but his healing factor is much faster after donning the suit. In the comics, Spector is most powerful during full moon nights, which flaunts his strength. He also dreams of what will happen and absorbs the life energies of another person with a simple touch.

Moon Knight’s third personality

The episode implied that there could be another personality besides Spector and Steven Grant. As seen in previous installments, the titular hero faints when one of his personalities takes over without the other’s consent. During his trip to Egypt, Spector lost control of his mind and body for a few moments while he dealt with criminals in Cairo. Spector initially thought it was Grant’s fault, but the British character denied any involvement. The clues hint that Jake Lockley could make his debut soon. Fans saw that Spector has a particular thirst for blood and doesn’t back down if it comes to killing someone. Apparently Lockley is even more violent than Spector. In the comics realm, the Lockey personality works as a taxi driver and can quickly gather information on the street.
