While filming The Flash season 8 finale, one of the show’s stars teases that the final episode will feature some very familiar faces.
The flash The season 8 finale will feature some familiar faces, according to one of the show’s longtime stars. It’s been an interesting year for one of The CW’s most popular Arrowverse shows. Unlike previous years, The flash Season 8 kicked off with a 5-part special event, titled Armageddon, which featured some fan-favorite heroes and villains from the other shows. While not a traditional crossover per se, it was the first time since crisis on infinite earths that viewers got to see Barry Allen interact with other superheroes from the franchise.
What The flash Season 8 picked up last month after an extended break, the show is currently tackling its latest big bad in the form of the so-called assassin Black Flame. Rather than another metahuman, this threat is strongly tied to the world of the supernatural and horror, a territory The flash haven’t explored too much in the past. Either the flash a new version of Deathstorm or something else remains to be seen. With many episodes yet to air, only time will tell what other villains and arcs the show has in store for fans this year.
As The flash Season 8 started filming in August 2021, the production is nearing the finish line as they are currently filming their finale. While many details are being kept under wraps, it looks like the later episodes will have some returning characters. Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost, recently went on Instagram Live to do a little check-in about The flash season 8. Not only are they working on the final two episodes of the current season, but Panabaker teases that there will be a resurgence of some familiar faces that fans will enjoy seeing, stating the following:
“We’re nearing the end of filming for season 8. I’m working on episode 19 today, they started shooting episode 20, which is the season finale today on the other unit. These are exciting times, the end is near, although the last two episodes always tend to be pretty big! There will be some returning faces for the finale and the last two episodes, some familiar faces that I hope you will enjoy watching.”
it is a tradition for The flash usually some of its established guest characters return in some capacity at the end of each season. Last year was heavy on the Flash Family front when XS (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp), and Joan Williams (Michelle Harrison) returned for the two-part finale. While Panabaker did not specify who appears, it appears that Jordan Fisher’s Bart Allen, who was introduced during the 150th episode of The flash Season 7 is one of them. Recently, the actor teased that he was on set in a new video where Fisher was hanging out with Candice Patton, who plays her TV mom, Iris West-Allen.
The CW also recently announced that The flash The season 8 finale will officially air on Wednesday, June 29, which means more guests will likely be revealed as they get closer to the finale. Unlike the previous ones, this upcoming ending will likely feel a bit of a relief for fans as it would have been the flash series finale as The CW took a little longer this year to decide its fate. However, after a long period of waiting, The flash was one of two Arrowverse shows to score a renewal, which will be part of The CW’s 2022-2023 television season. What The flash As season 8 moves on, time will tell who else shows up for the latest batch of episodes.
