It’s back on the list.
Yet another week of Major League Soccer action sees Yimmi Chara thrive. After two consecutive Chilean goals in the first few weeks, the Portland Timbers player opted for a right hand from inside the area that found the right side.
Cut off. Finish. 1-0.

Justin Meram opened the scoring in Real Salt Lake’s 2-2 draw with Toronto FC in truly spectacular fashion. Meram’s shot from outside the box found the top left corner, a shot Toronto goalkeeper Alex Bono wasn’t prepared for.

Alcivar delivered what few players can do: an Olympian. while the target I might have been avoided if Atlanta United goalkeeper Brad Guzan calculated the curve of the shot actually, it was a great effort by Alcivar.
After the match, the player admitted that he first struggled in the league before slowly finding his way.
“In the beginning, I really struggled, it was a different rhythm, but I didn’t get depressed, I just kept working to catch up with MLS. And now I’m getting it little by little.
“I came here [to MLS] to continue learning. I came here because I knew that Miguel Ángel could help me more than staying in Ecuador. I think that if I continue on my way, I will only get better with each match. It’s not just for Ramírez either, it’s also for my teammates because I don’t play alone”.
WHY NOT, @brandonservania? ?

The strike that no one saw coming. After a failed set piece attempt, Alan Velasco set up Brandon Servania for the impressive equaliser. His effort from outside the box found the back of the net to send the FC Dallas fans into a frenzy.
“It was a very good goal, it’s been a while. It was a bit difficult in the first half, but that goal helped change the momentum. We adjusted and changed things during half time and as you can see in the second half we did much better. It was a great win for us,” the head coach said of his goal.

Jayden Nelson, 19, scored his first goal in Major League Soccer against Real Salt Lake, and he did not disappoint. The young prospect is thriving under new head coach Bob Bradley, and his right-footed shot from outside the box is proof of that.
His efforts also earned praise from Bradley, who revealed that the player is “dynamic”.
“I’m just talking about what I’ve seen working with Jayden this year, and I mentioned during preseason that he seems to be excited about the little things that get worked on every day. We’ve seen him in a more dynamic way, making more plays down the field in terms of getting away from guys, more moments where his ability, his speed, the quickness of him draw attention.”
