Kevin Love on whether LeBron James is still invited to his wedding

LeBron James is in a sticky situation with his good friend and former Cavaliers teammate Kevin Love.

Last month, James brutally postponed Love at the rim during his return to Cleveland on March 21, when the Lakers beat the Cavaliers, 131-120. Later, the 33-year-old put James in a headlock on the sidelines and they both laughed about it.

After the match, James told reporters“I hope they keep inviting me to the wedding,” as he lamented the monstrous dunk that took place in the second quarter.

“We had a conversation after that,” Love told The Post. “He’s toeing the line if he’s invited [to the wedding]so we could add Vestry (Love’s dog) and take him away.”

James and Love played together on the Cavaliers and on Team USA.

Love and Bock met in 2016 after being introduced by a photographer friend.

Love, who is marrying his longtime girlfriend, supermodel Kate Bock this summer, “was joking, of course, pointing out that it’s all love between him and James.

They were teammates in Cleveland from 2015 to 2018 and won a title together in 2016, when the Cavaliers beat the Warriors in a seven-game classic. Prior to that, Love and James won gold along with Team USA at the 2012 London Olympics, and have remained good friends off the court ever since.

The sacristy, meanwhile, is the Vizsla Dog Love shares with his fiancée. As important as the dog is to the couple, she won’t be at the wedding, said Love, who recently teamed up with Milk Bone to help launch the brand’s new artificially flavored birthday cake cookies, along with a dog birthday giveaway.

“[Vestry’s] just always with us all the time, so people have gotten used to expecting it,” he said. “We got married in [New York City] this summer, but she will not be part of the wedding festivities, but she will be present.”

Love and Bock live together in Manhattan when he is not in Cleveland during the NBA season. He proposed to the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model in January over her birthday weekend, and she announced the news on Instagram, calling the proposal “the best birthday surprise I could have imagined.”

I’m actually very excited,” a smiling Love said of their upcoming nuptials. “And some of the friends that I’ve been talking to throughout the league, whether they’re players, coaches, officials, even outside of basketball, they say, ‘The best days of your life, they’re going to be high up in the league. list: the day you get married, the day you have a child like that kind of thing.

“But I’m so excited because not only do I get to marry my best friend, but we’ve also established an amazing life together,” Love said. “It’s going to be a celebration of the people we have in our lives. We have been so blessed with those relationships. And again, I think that’s what we’re going to look back on when we’re older and say, we’re so thankful for bringing all those people from the past and present together and getting everyone to meet each other. I think that’s what really makes a wedding fun.”

As The Post previously reported, Love and Bock met in 2016 after a photo shoot in New York with the same photographer who introduced them.
