News emerging from French media late on Monday suggests that Real Madrid’s ongoing search for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe is taking a potentially fatal blow.
Front-page news about the events at the Bernabeu last summer, of course, came in the form of Real Madrid’s search for Mbappe.
Despite the French international only having one year left on his contract with PSG, Los Blancos are understood to have submitted a mammoth bid worth €170m, plus a further €10m in bonuses, for his signing.

Surprisingly, however, the Parc des Princes board chose to reject this proposal.
in turn, word it became known at the end of August that Florentino Pérez and company. had made the decision to pull the plug on his summer swoop for Mbappe, to focus his attention on finding a pre-contractual deal with the 23-year-old in January.
And so, the months since then have seen speculation continue to swirl in the media, and the widespread assumption has remained that, in the end, Mbappe will make his supposed dreams come true in the form of Madrid.
However, as mentioned above, if the final word emanating from his home country of France on Monday night is anything to go by, then indeed a twist in history may still be imminent.
The information is courtesy of journalist Daniel Riolo of RMC Sport, the same reporter who pointed out Lionel Messi preparing to bring his talent to Paris six months before the move took place.
Now, Riolo has assured, without any doubt, that Mbappé will, in fact, stay at PSG.
The Frenchman has suggested the prolific youngster is simply biding his time, before announcing next month that he will put the new terms in writing at the Parc des Princes.

The news of Mbappe’s apparent change of course, of course, comes fresh off the ex-Monaco player’s back, just last night, giving the PSG faithful renewed hope.
After igniting a Ligue 1 victory over Lorient thanks to a direct hand in his team’s five goals, Mbappe assured that he remains very open to the possibility of staying in the French capital:
Kylian Mbappé tells Prime Video: “I haven’t made my choice about the future, everyone knows that. I’m thinking, there are NEW elements and many parameters. If I had made my decision, I would have announced it.” 🚨 #mbappe
