The name of midfield star Carvalho, of course, took center stage in the headlines when it came to the developments at Anfield during the January transfer window.

This came as transfer bosses in the red half of Merseyside pressed hard for a deal with their Fulham counterparts, over a deal that would have seen the Portuguese put pen to paper on terms with Liverpool, before returning to Craven Cottage on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Carvalho is set to sign terms with Jurgen Klopp’s side until the summer of 2027, before being integrated into the Reds’ first-team setup for the 2022/23 campaign.
