Watford to be relegated

Watford’s relegation to the Championship is likely to be made official this weekend.

The Hornets head into the gameweek sat 19th in the Premier League with just 22 points amassed from 34 games.

Above them, meanwhile, 16th and 17th place Burnley are both currently on 34 points with four games to play.

As a result, the only way Watford could stay up now is by having one of those sides lose all of their remaining games whilst Watford win all of theirs. However, that is very unlikely considering Watford have lost five on the bounce.

So, it now looks as though Roy Hodgson’s old side, Crystal Palace, will be the team to send Watford down this weekend.

Can Manchester City bounce back?

Manchester City experienced a rather spectacular collapse earlier this week. The Citizens dominated Real Madrid over 180 minutes of Champions League football. However, the Manchester outfit conceded two goals in the 90sth minute of their second leg semi-final before then losing the tie in extra time.

Such a spectacular collapse in the competition City are yet to win is bound to cause some tension at the club, but with Liverpool still only one points behind them in the Premier League title race, it is imperative the Sky Blues bounce back vs Newcastle this weekend .

The top-four race rumbles on

Elsewhere, the race for 4th spot is heating up, with both Arsenal and Tottenham set for tough games this weekend.

Arsenal will take on Leeds which, whilst not looking that hard a game due to Leeds’ league position, is sure to be much tougher than most Gunners fans will be hoping.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have to take on a Liverpool side who have lost just two league games all season and are still capable of completing a quadruple this term.

Can West Ham rescue their season?

West Ham were knocked out of the Europa League by Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.

As a result, David Moyes and co. must now turn their attentions back to the league. The Hammers are unlikely to secure a top-six spot this term, though it remains a possibility given Manchester United’s poor form.

However, West Ham must also be careful not to slip out of the European places all together. The east Londoners are currently 7thwhich is a Europa Conference League place, but Wolves are only three points behind them with a game in hand.

Will Everton go down?

The battle for survival continues in gameweek 36, with Everton’s hopes boosted after their huge win over Chelsea last time out.

That win means Everton are two points off both Leeds and Burnley with a game in hand.

However, both of those sides are in good form, whilst Everton have struggled against the lesser teams this season.

The Toffees will take on Leicester City this weekend, whilst Leeds have Arsenal and Burnley take on Aston Villa.
